Our Declaration of Independence correctly states that God endows every person with the right to life. I agree with the founding fathers' belief that the fundamental duty of government is to protect life. Sadly, many Americans and their leaders in government have rejected the truths upon which our great nation was founded and support the killing of unborn babies. I believe America deserves better than abortion. You, the voters, deserve better than politicians who subvert the true meaning of freedom, by promoting lies like "reproductive freedom" and "choice." We will never live in a truly free society if our most innocent, vulnerable Americans can be murdered at will.

The mentality that gave rise to pro-abortion convictions in America permeates the rest of our culture. When our country first began, our leaders understood that freedom was to be exercised in protecting the common good. Unfortunately, many today misunderstand freedom as the ability to do whatever you want, whenever you want. This has led to the invention of the so-called right to abortion and may lead to the legalization of same-sex "marriage" throughout the United States. I will fight for federal constitutional amendments that ban abortion and homosexual marriage. As your congressman, I will promote life, the family, and the welfare of this nation, not the whims of misguided individuals or well-funded advocacy groups.

Life is also under attack when individuals are denied proper health care because of their elderly age or because they are disabled. No one who is elderly or disabled should be denied basic necessities such as food or water. I will fight to protect Americans against euthanasia and assisted suicide. I will work to defend life in all its stages, to establish a more humane America where the dignity of the human person is respected.
